The acute care Medical Center is located off Smith Church Road in an 89-acre wooded park-like campus just 5 minutes from I-95 and US 158 – the heartbeat of our region. Opened in 1972 with three subsequent additions, the Medical Center is six stories and contains nearly 250,000 square feet.
- Roanoke Valley Cancer Center – the office of Chanchamma Thannikkary, M.D., radiation oncologist
- Five-County Mental Health Services – an outpatient behavioral medicine office Outpatient Mental Health Services of Halifax Regional
- Halifax Works – the occupational health clinic of Halifax Regional
- Offices for:
1) Roanoke Surgical Specialists – orthopedic services
2) Halifax Women’s Imaging — mammography, ultrasound
3) Roanoke Valley Pain Center — office of Joey Thomas, M.D., pain medicine specialist
4) Halifax-Northampton Internal Medicine – office of Louis Chetty, M.D.
- Roanoke Clinic – family practice offices including allergy testing and treatment
- Women’s Health Specialists – the offices of Thomas J. McDonald, M.D. and Lawrence Singer, M.D., obstetrics and gynecology
In addition, we have several facilities outside the campus:
- Wildwood Medical Clinic – primary care physicians office in Henrico
- Halifax HealthLink – education and fitness center in Becker Village Mall in Roanoke Rapids
- Roanoke Valley Medical Ministries Clinic — region’s free clinic located at 536 Jackson Street in Roanoke Rapids
