New physician Begins Practice With Rural Health Group
Dr. Sadiq Will See Patients at Halifax Regional

 
ROANOKE RAPIDS, NC – (August 20, 2007) – Jafar Sadiq, MD has joined Rural Health Group of Roanoke Rapids in the newly established Hospitalist position.

Dr. Sadiq is Board Certified by the American Board of Medical Specialties. A native of India, he completed an internal medicine residency at Bronx Lebanon Medical Center in New York, NY and a second internal medicine residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, IA.

After his medical training, Dr. Sadiq spent a year in private practice specializing in internal medicine in Palayam Kottai in Tamilnadu, India. From April of 2004 until recently, he practiced medicine at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center in Newfoundland, Canada.

As a Hospitalist, Dr, Sadiq will oversee the medical care of the Rural Health Group’s inpatients during their stay at Halifax Regional. He will maintain contact with each patient’s primary care physician for updates about the patient’s condition and prognosis until discharge.

With Locations in Roanoke Rapids, Hollister, Littleton, Jackson, and Rich Square Rural Health is a not-for-profit, community health center dedicated to providing primary medical care, dental care, and other health-related services in northeastern North Carolina.
