Working together, Halifax Regional and the Roanoke Valley provide opportunities to improve healthcare through the Halifax Regional Foundation. Gifts to the Foundation provide essential financial support toward the Medical Center’s mission of meeting the healthcare needs of the community.

We are fortunate to live in a caring community where residents demonstrate their care for family and friends in a variety of ways. The Foundation is pleased to be the link that enables quality healthcare to be available for all in the Roanoke Valley.

About Halifax Regional Foundation

Formed in 1991, the Halifax Regional Medical Center Foundation exists to improve healthcare at Halifax Regional and the Roanoke Valley. We achieve that purpose by raising money and distributing it to buy equipment for the Medical Center and to support health education programs. Our mission is to support Halifax Regional in its effort to put “patients first through quality service, excellence, compassion, teamwork and commitment.”

We are separate from Halifax Regional with our own Board of Directors from the community and the Medical Center to guide the foundation, although we primarily support the Medical Center.

In addition to raising money through gifts, memorials and estates, we have an annual golf tournament and a campaign among employees of the Medical Center.

As a not-for-profit, the Foundation is a charitable organization, and donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by the IRS.

The Foundation staff can help you determine the way to give that best meets your philanthropic interests and financial situation.
