Our general surgeons offer a range of diagnostic gastroenterology services including:
- Colonoscopy: An exam of the large intensive and rectum using a scope, helpful for detecting diverticulitis, polyps and colon cancer
- Endoscopy: A look at the entire gastrointestinal tract using a small scope to detect bleeding, inflammation and polyps
- Endoscopic ultrasonography: Combines ultrasound and the insertion of a small probe to detect tumors
- Esophagography: Uses contrast medium to show organs under x-ray, helpful for diagnosing GERD and stomach cancer
- PEG placement: feeding tube insertion
- Balloon dilatation: A procedure on patients who have difficulty swallowing
- Surgery of the colon, esophagus, liver, pancreas and stomach
